Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is an upcoming 2011 3D fantasy action-adventure film. It is the fourth film in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and starsJohnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, Geoffrey Rush, Kevin McNally, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Sam Claflin, Stephen Graham, Gemma Ward and Richard Griffiths. The film was first announced in September 2008, and principal photography started in June 2010. Unlike the previous films, which were shot primarily on location in the Caribbean, On Stranger Tides had most of its production in Hawaii. The film is set to be released on May 20, 2011.
